146: Running on Puns with Storyteller Robin Gelfenbien

Are you ready to laugh and perhaps cry at the same time? Then you’re in luck. I met Robin Gelfenbien at a Shankminds Mastermind and knew that she had to come on the podcast, because she is that funny—and punny for that matter.

Robin talks about how being bullied really fueled her drive to become a long-distance biker and marathoner. And she doesn’t even like running! You’ll hear funny stories from Robin, who by the way, is a professional storyteller, copywriter, and an Ambassador of Fun (what a cool title!). Wait until you hear her stories on the run at the NYC Marathon and the Marine Corps Marathon.

You’ll also hear Robin explain how to tell a story, because all of us have our own stories to share. This can be especially helpful for charity runners who are in the thick of things raising a lot of money! She even discusses how to get a laugh out of runners and spectators at races. Robin will crack you up on TRLS and also on her podcast called Yum’s the Word.

Serena Marie, RD, is here to share some research that she found really interesting about the effects of standing and light-intensity walking. We know we need to “take a stand,” and this proves the point. Without even planning for it, we review our Varidesk® desks. Click HERE for the product review for Varidesk®.
